The Correlation Between the Use of Digital Literacy and Student Writing Skill Descriptive Text at MTS Darul Abror Bekasi

Abstract

Digital literacy and writing are closely related. The basic skill of digital literacy is understanding. the capacity to infer both explicit and implicit concepts from media. When someone uses digital literacy, writing in English is not always easy for them. This study sought to ascertain whether there was a relationship between students' proficiency in digital literacy and their writing of descriptive texts. The seventh grade at MTs Darul Abror Bekasi was investigated as part of a correlational study. The study's conclusions showed a strong correlation between students' proficiency in digital literacy and their capacity to produce descriptive writing. It was established that the correlation coefficient value was "higher" than the score r table, or 0.690 < 0.456, meaning that the correlation can be interpreted as falling between 0.61 and 0.80. coefficient. One may argue that there is a direct correlation between students' proficiency in digital literacy and their writing of descriptive texts. It is therefore possible to say that while Ha is accepted, Ho is rejected
